I could spend time writing how Gavin isn’t like the average coach. I can use hype words or even motivational phrases and quotes about his training style and training plans but to be honest none of that would truly convey the authenticity and passion of Gavin himself. Cause that’s what it’s really about isn’t it? You need to know the coach you’re about to bring into your life, who’s going to get you to the goals you want.

To me, the mark of a truly amazing coach isn’t necessarily in the plans or regimens they create. It’s in their honesty, integrity, and ability to adapt.

In brutal honesty, Gavin never sugar coats his reviews and critiques of my training, but that’s what I need. That’s what most of us need. It’s the truth and it’s what really allows us to push beyond our limits, fix what isn’t right and soar to our best heights.

Gavin is honest about anything he may not be familiar with or sure about, and he makes sure he does his due diligence in finding and gaining all the info and data needed to get me to succeed in everything I do inside AND outside the gym. Every time he sends me a video breaking down workouts, they’re never reused videos from previous clients and they are always easy to understand and broken down to my specific areas of concern. He actually takes the time to get to know ME and what I need.

Gavin always checks in on my schedule and workouts. Communicating with him is easy and he’s always at the ready with a response to any quick questions. If a phone call is necessary he always makes sure to work around my schedule, especially if anything needs addressing in more detail. He understands each day is new and different and some days our bodies can push to 110% and some days we may need to dial it back. But regardless of that, he always gives his all and makes sure I get the most out of each day’s workout based on all the data I relay to him.

All-in-all, Gavin created an environment that isn’t just Trainer/Trainee, but one in which I know I’ve got more than just a coach in my corner—I have a friend, a brother, pushing me to be the best.

Beyond Gavin himself, his programming is amazing. Week by week I find myself getting stronger and stronger and putting on more size (those being two of my goals). I went from a measly 95lb bench press to a 225lb bench press in just 3 months! Aside from helping me build strength, he helped me build confidence. In my situation, I was stronger than I thought, but it took Gavin bringing out the courage in me for me to push beyond. Gavin constantly reminds me that it is me who is putting in the effort at the gym, and while that is true, I know I absolutely never would have gotten here if it wasn’t for him putting in his effort, faith and brutally fantastic workouts for me.

If you, as a future client reading this, are still undecided if you should take that step, then let me be the one or the sign to tell you: DO IT! YOU need to put in the sweat at the gym, but Gavin will guide you every damn step of the way.

I am extremely grateful for Gavin’s coaching, friendship, and guidance—he’s got a client for life!
